They Back Out

July 29, 2008 on 3:03 pm | In Uncategorized | No Comments

The drive way across the street is a hazard for any car parked in front of my house. My mailbox also has suffered for these people’s onslaught. The back out and just don’t look in the mirrors or in back of their vehicle.

My daughter’s pickup, got creamed when she was here.

If this was the first time, I could understand it, but this same guy has hit this truck and my mailbox.

The other time a vehicle got hit, was on Mother’s Day, and my other daughter’s pickup was also parked in the same place. This “little old lady”, was across the street picking up her grandchildren from their visitation with those grandparents, and she backed out and broke Ashley’s truck tail light. This lady must have been on some heavy medication, because she was very out of it………it scared me to see her drive off.

That’s Not My Child……

July 25, 2008 on 8:51 pm | In Uncategorized | No Comments

I remember the day, my oldest son, who was two, found a way to embarrass me. While sitting in the waiting room of my doctor’s office, to have my initial 6week exam, after having my second son, it happened.
My oldest noticed a lady across the room, who was breast feeding her baby. Being curious he stood there watching her. Afraid that he might be bothering her, I told him to leave the lady alone and come sit down. She calmly replied that it was okay, that “he wasn’t bothering her”.
My son, stood there a few more minutes, and then he asked her “what ya doing”? She said “feeding my baby”, and he answered “oh”. He stood there a few more minutes, and the he said ” my mom has some of those, but she don’t use them”.
Well, the lady smiled, and looked at me, and said “oh really”?
I could have fell through the floor………I quickly, told my son to get over here and sit down. Of course, my face was red and I was wanting to crawl somewhere.

So, you see that a mother has the chance to be dragged through many situations, with children from different ages.

Laser Surgery?

July 24, 2008 on 4:03 pm | In Uncategorized | No Comments

I’ve been checking out the pro’s and con’s of laser surgery and I really don’t know if I should have the Lasik done or not. It’s a toss up whether you can get a good deal or if they will mess up your eyes. I’d be real interested in the crystal lens, since they say you can be almost like the bionic man. They say with that you will never go blind no matter how old you get. I wish I could afford it, but I know that’s not possible right now.  Tomorrow’s a new day and with this ever changing world I may become financially able to partake.
