I remember when my step-dad was told to stop smoking, the doctor told him it would be best for him to move down slowly from cigarettes, to cigars and then a pipe. He found that buying cigars was easy if you went to a convenience store. The problem with those cigars was that they weren’t always a premium blend.

Things never go the way we want them to and that makes for a bad situation if we try to hang on instead of letting go. The best way to heal from a bad ordeal is to let it go and move on. I often wonder why, when a person is really trying to do right, that’s the time they get kicked right in the teeth. It happens that way and we just have to pull up our boots and go on.

I’ve bent over backwards and done what I thought was right. Now, I’m stopping the madness and turning over a new page. That was yesterday and yesterday’s gone……..time to move on to something better.
