Pumps

Last week a water line broke here at my home.  The city workers happened to drive by and see it.  They dug up the area where the water was bubbling up and found the broken pipe.  They took a hand pump and pumped the water out of the hole to see where the broken area was.

If you consider how many families and homes have been destroyed by high water in the last few months, then you will know that they needed  engine driven pumps to move that water out of their properties.  These pumps can be used to help direct large amounts of liquid products as well.  I’m sure there is more information located at the link listed in this article.

City Workers

I want you to notice the big pile of brush on the right side of this picture.  It’s been over a month since it was piled out there, and as of today, it still lays right in the same spot.  It seems that this town doesn’t do the once a month brush and limb pick up that most cities do.  You have to call the offices, they put you on a list waiting to be serviced.  There’s no telling when your address will hit the list for service.  Now, I have place more limbs on it, and the next door neighbor acts as if I’ve done something wrong…….he should be glad that I’m trying to get this huge trees at a more safe level.  One of them is hanging right over his house and could fall on it at any given time.

A Playbook

All across the world you can find gadgets of various sizes and designs.  They do this and do that, which is supposed to make life easier and more fun.  When there are children or young adults among the family, you find many electronic items for their ready hands.  A  Playbook is just one item that can be used for their entertainment.  I find that shopping for electronics is much easier when I search online.  The available items are less expensive and the quality just as good as the one’s you buy at local stores.

Flower Beds

Looking to the left in this picture, you can see the flower beds all overgrown.  This will be my chore to maintain, in the coming months.  This is just one of the four flower beds located all the way around the house.  So, needless to say I will have plenty of work to keep me busy.
