This bush has been here for several years………when I moved in this house 4 years ago the person, who was keeping the yard, had it cut down very low …..almost to the ground……..I let it grow and it has beautiful blooms in the spring but they fall of and I never have any fruit? I wonder if it could be a fruitless, bush?
Either way it was getting too big and not making fruit, so I cut it back so it wouldn’t crowd out the other plants with it.

About a week ago, an acquaintance brought me a large amount of tomatoes, that had been given to her……….she, didn’t know what to do with them…… 
either way, I put what I could in the crisper of the fridge and forgot them for a few days……well, now I got a mess to clean up, because they were ready to either use or can. It’s ok because I will cut off the bad spots and make them into tomatoes for cooking sauces or soups. So, they will get used, anyway. 
My spouse bought me 2 large buckets of banana trees/plants. Well, what ever you want to call them. Anyway, in each bucket there were extra plants. In one there were 2 plants 
and in the other there were 3, 
so I got more for the money.
Well, we had to get them into the ground cause this heat was really giving them a hard time……I had to water them daily to keep them from dying. Heck it looks like I’ve lost my last blueberry bush to the heat……..everything is struggling to live.
Anyway, this poor guy got the spade and tried to push it into the ground………the ground was so hard and dried out I had to get the water hose and wet the area and let it set for a few minutes and then he tried again, barely denting the surface. In this heat it became a horrendous job, so he rested between digging the 2 holes, along with gulping down a large glass of ice water.
I took some old grass, that was left over from edging the drive the day before and used it to put around them since I was out of mulch. That nice rain we had was welcomed by all my plants.
Now, the chore comes to make sure I save them from the winters, we have here in Texas……..since I’m not down on the coast….I don’t have the nice temps and rains. So, I’ll probably have to try and cover them somehow, to keep the freezing temps and frost, from killing them. Time will tell.
The other day, when I wrote the article about that black cloudy sky, I was sure it was teasing me.
It broke loose to thundering and lightning and you’d of thought hell had come to town. That’s the way it is here in Texas, the storms come in with a blast, tearing up everything in sight, and leaving a big mess. It’s like a tornado or whatever you want to name it…..but the storms here, are a crazy mixed up set of weather patterns, waiting to explode. 
This one, came in like a lion and later on that evening went out like a lamb…….Now, I don’t know about you but I like a nice steady soaking rain without all the theatrics. You can have the thunder and lightning……it’s not my forte. Too bad we can’t determine the type of weather we’d like, I’d sure take about 78*, nice gentle rain about every other day. Oh yeah, and mostly nice sunshine……..a cloudy day depresses me………..
