Trees Are Starting to Bloom
The weather has really been mean to the trees and plants this year. One day it’s in the 70′s and sunny, the next it in the 40′s or 50′s, wet or cold………I’m interested to see the outcome of this sporadic weather on these new buds. The growing season may be met with a disaster, and we will end up with ruined fruits and vegetables. Time will tell.

Roses
The experts say to trim you rose bushes back in early spring, around January or so. I haven’t trimmed mine this year…….purely out of laziness, I suppose. I guess they will just need to survive on their own, since I’ve gotten this way. It’s merely a proxy to the extra work that will be needed later in the year. I guess that’s better than nothing.

It’s very hard to get the younger generation to show up and help when you need them. They sure can show up when they need your help. The Texas Weather
I noticed that there’s a peach tree in full bloom, as I was driving down the street. It’s all nice and pink. The freeze that coming tonight will surely take down the new peaches, that are under the blooms. I guess all that nice 70’s weather we’ve been having, has got them all confused. I noticed that my rose bushes have new growth on them as well. We got some much need rain, a couple of days ago. It still wasn’t enough to handle the drought we’ve been in the last few years….

Tiller
My sorrowful tiller sits out in the yard, with an abandoned look. The person that I got to come over to get it started, said that it needs more work………..therefore, my vegetable gardening may be a bit late this year…………He has other problems in his life and then it rained again down into it………after he had cleaned out the thing and tried to get it to start. I’m too old and unable to have the muscle it takes to even pull the starter string, that turns the engine……..hopefully he’ll get it done before April………..I would like to have a garden this year……..
