It’s time to start preparation for the holiday’s, and your christmas cards should be close to the top of your list. I’ve notice that people have started relying on the internet to send ecards, in the last few years, and I truly believe that rules out part of the giving spirit at Christmas time and other holidays. Birthdays have taken a back burner to the internet as well, and I feel it necessary to remind people of the personal effect that sending cards has on the one’s receiving them. Ficus Tree……
This poor baby got frozen last winter, when I got lazy and left it out on the front porch. About mid-spring I noticed a small green sprig, growing out. I was amazed that the roots had survived, and watered it plus fed it ever so often. Now, it’s doing great and I’ve got it inside, so it will protected this winter. 
Spider Plant…..
I moved my spider plant into the house, and it seems to be doing well. I hung it by a bright window, so it could get plenty of sun and light. I have plenty of small hanging babies, to pot should it decide to bite the dust……..

Social Welfare…….
I wonder if these younger generations, can see how hard it is on older people, when it comes to being able to afford things. These are things they need, like food, shelter, clothing, medicines and health care. The problems with the way our elderly citizens are treated is paramount. I believe that the younger generations, should realize that this will only get worse, if some sort of social welfare isn’t met during this time in their lives. When they get to be older, they will be looking for all the help they can get. It may become harder to get once they opt to vote against certain health bills today. I hope they will be able to comprehend, what the future will be if these problems aren’t acted on in the present times.
Cool Front……..
Well, a cool front came through the area, and I’m sitting here shivering, with a stove on. I’m a wimp when it comes to cool or cold weather. One cool wind blows past me, and it’s time for some heat. I don’t like cold weather, and that’s just the way I am. I can handle the hot weather a lot better than I can cold. The cold seems to cut through me to the bone. Especially if it’s wet cold weather.

Cydor
Recently I’ve been looking around at the different places to work. the work is not for me, but for one of my children. They have been out of work for a few months and need to get a job. I’m considering suggesting they go and apply at Cydcor in order to find a good employer to work for. It’s very hard to find a good place to work, especially with great benefits. When finding a place such as this one it’s profitable to hang on to this type of job.
Orchids…….
It seems that my orchids, bloom every year around this time. They really grew this summer, because the weather was good and there was plenty of rain. I’ve separated them and now have at least three plants, which I expect to keep growing and make even more plants.

Time To ………
I guess by now most of you that live in the US are experiencing a bit of cool weather. Here in Texas it’s not as bad as some place. There are many areas already having snow and I’m glad to be where I am. Cold weather is something I dread each year. I have to bring in all my plants, that will freeze and my house becomes a greenhouse. I have yet to get someone to build a greenhouse outdoors for that use. I’m not as rich as some people so each thing I accomplish has to be planned for financially, after the other things that need done.
So, I’ve moved all the plants that were sitting out on the sidewalk and around the house, in under the porch, in order to protect them from frost. It won’t be long until they will have to be moved inside, because of the low temps and then the shifting around begins. Finding a a place to sit them so they can get much needed sunshine or light, becomes a chore. Each year this gets harder to accomplish, since I manage to adopt more plants during the spring and summer months. I guess I’ll have to build on a screened in porch that I can place a small heater in, to keep the temperatures from dropping too low.
