It’s time to start preparation for the holiday’s, and your christmas cards should be close to the top of your list. I’ve notice that people have started relying on the internet to send ecards, in the last few years, and I truly believe that rules out part of the giving spirit at Christmas time and other holidays. Birthdays have taken a back burner to the internet as well, and I feel it necessary to remind people of the personal effect that sending cards has on the one’s receiving them. The Empire State Building can be seen lit in red and yellow to honor the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China in this photo looking north from Madison Square Park Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009 in New York. The color scheme has caused controversy among critics of the Communist government in China.
Red and yellow lights shone from the top of the Empire State Building at dusk Wednesday, a tribute to communist China’s 60th anniversary that protesters labeled “blatant approval” of totalitarianism and criticized as inappropriate for an icon in the land of the free.

Found After 80 Years
This undated handout photo shows a creature called a pygmy tarsier, believed for the eight decades to have been extinct. One of the world’s smallest and rarest primates, it was rediscovered in Indonesia by Texas A and M University professor Sharon Gursky-Doyen in August.
As their name indicates, pygmy tarsiers are small — weighing about 2 ounces (50 grammes). They have large eyes and large ears, and they have been described as looking a bit like one of the creatures in the 1984 Hollywood movie “Gremlins.”
They are nocturnal insectivores and are unusual among primates in that they have claws rather than finger nails.
