Chile Making Do……..

It’s a slow day and I’m not in the mood to cook. This morning I fixed a small bowl of cereal to curb my hunger pains. It’s one of those mornings that I feel less than adequate. So, maybe this bowl of cereal, will give my some strength to get to feeling better.

I’ve taken in more fast food, lately than I’d like to admit.
It makes life more easy to manage, if you grab something on the way home or to where ever your going. I can grab a burger & fries with coke and be on my way.
I know they are bad for me, but a good burger just tastes great, when your craving it. The holiday’s spoiled me on desserts, and now I find myself craving them as well….
I’m going to have to put a halt to these cravings, because they will build my waistline. ![]()

It’s very nice to have a food dish, turn out right. Especially, when you work so hard to make it from “scratch”. You hope that it tastes as good, complementing your efforts. But those biscuits, can get really hard, can’t they? I swear, I could knock someone out with mine. Just can’t seem to get it right.
I have had times that I threw something together, and it came out wonderful. I keep thinking back wondering just how I did it? Maybe if I could remember I could do it again. Ha, ha………the jokes’ on me, it will never happen again.
So, it’s back to the conventional way and reading the recipe the right way.
This is something that you can do with your children and have fun while doing it……….
1(18oz) jar Peanut butter
1(14.5oz) box Ritz Crackers(use 48)
12 oz. chocolate-flavored almond bark
Chopped nuts
white chocolate chips(melted) to decorate
Spread peanut butter on 24 crackers. Top with remaining 24 crackers , making 24 sandwiches. Melt almond bark in double boiler on low heat. Dip sandwiches into chocolate and place on wax paper to cool. While still warm, sprinkle on nuts and drizzle with melted white chocolate to decorate.
Now, if you don’t have a bunch of fun doing this as a family, then I don’t know what to tell you……..
Well, as you can tell ………there was plenty of food…..
….front and center was my dressing……..right next to it on the right sliced turkey and then just to the right of the turkey, Mom’s sliced ham……..above the dressing…….is green onions…..the creamed potatoes and to the right of them is the sweet potatoes, topped with melted, marshmallows……….over on the left is some dishes that my sister left covered that she brought, they kept getting cold for some reason………..Above the potatoes were her deviled eggs and banana pudding, which you can’t see, because they are covered…….too………. she was supposed to bring a fruit salad, which she forgot……..
Oh I kept my giblet gravy on the stove……..since there wasn’t enough room for it on the table and was able to re-heat it ever so often and keep it warm……
Hope all of you had a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving…….
